More Field Flowers

Hello All -

Getting ready for this hurricane that is headed our way. Everyone is running to the store, getting water, milk and batteries. It kind of cracks me up a little. I mean, really? Don't we already have those things around the house? I don't know, I've never been one to panic. Even more so now, that just last week before we knew this storm was coming, my smart hubby bought a generator. Hooray! And we had trees around the house taken down last Spring. So, I hope we are all set. Time will tell.

In the mean time, I am busy in the stamp room playing with all my new goodies. Here is another pretty card I made with the Field Flowers set.

I love the buttons and pearls - it just adds texture and dimension to the card. Fun!
Here is the recipe:

Stamp Set: Field Flowers
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Pink Pirouette, Rose Red, Naturals White
Ink: Old Olive, Rose Red, Soft Suede
Accessories: Soft Subtle Buttons, Basic Pearls and Rhinestones, Linen Thread, Wide Oval Punch, Stampin' Sponges, Stampin' Dimensionals. Scallop Border Punch, Paper Piercing Tool

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

It's Raining....Flowers.

Hello Stampers!
Since we are all preparing for a hurricane and lots of rain...I thought I would pick an appropriate set today....Raining Flowers. This is a NEW stamp set and I haven't even had the chance to use it yet!

I am savoring the last few days of summer and staying in my PJ's and stamping the day away. The kids go back Monday (in a hurricane no less) and I go back Tuesday. I am looking forward to having a schedule again, but I sure will miss summer. It seemed to go by faster than ever this year. I feel like we just got out of school. But hey, I am not complaining. I am so lucky to have a job and one that gives me the summers off no less!

OK, back to the card...here we go...

I saw a very similar card from another Demonstrator, and just loved the bright flowers. So I had to make one too.

Here is the recipe:

Stamp Set: Raining Flowers, Petite Pairs (greeting)
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Old Olive, Whisper White
Ink: Versamark, Poppy Pararade, Early Espresso
Accessories: Victoria Ribbon, Paper Piercing Tool, White Gel Pen (faux stitching), Basic Pearls

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are having a great day!

We're hopping for Cupcakes!

It's Friday! And that means it's Blog Hop Day!

This weeks theme is near and dear to my heart. Cupcakes!
I was so excited when the theme was announced. Not only do I love to bake (and eat) cupcakes...we just visited the cutest cupcake shop on our recent vacation to Marco Island.

Simply Cupcakes of Olde Marco is a delightful little shop that has delectable creations! And the store is PINK! How could you NOT love it? We had a great time there, and the owner, Judy, welcomed us in and treated us like family (hmmm...maybe that's not a good thing in some families...but in this case it was a VERY good thing!). Judy is a sweet as her cupcakes and even let me come behind the counter for a picture with her. So sweet!

So, getting back to the Blog Hop...I of course, took a ton of pictures while I was in this cute little pink shop. And so I was all giddy when the cupcake theme was announced! And I seriously need to make some cupcake cards and send them to Judy. We have the cutest stamps and punches for cupcakes...she should get one from me!

Anyway, here are my pages:

I was going for some blank space on these pages with the White cardstock background...and then when I uploaded it you couldn't tell where the page ended and my blog background was....it looked funny. LOL
So I popped a piece of Pretty in Pink in the background just to give it a border. When I go to print them though, I will delete that layer with one keystroke and be back to my white border.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you will continue the loop and check out all of the amazing digital creations this talented group of ladies have made!

Have a great weekend,

So much more than just scrapbook pages...

WOW! Every time I turn around I am learning something NEW about My Digital Studio! To call it a digital scrapbooking program seems unfair! It does SO much more!

Yes, scrapbook pages and photo-books...in a variety of sizes...12x12, 8 1/2x11, 8x8, 6x6 and 5x5....
And cards in a ton of sizes too...

and tags, and swatchbooks...and JOURNALS?

Yes my friends. Journals. Gorgeous, awesome quality journals.

You design the front, the back and the spine...
and then send it off to be printed by Stampin' Up!'s professional print service.

And in about a week, your one of a kind, custom, unique Journal arrives at your door.

The journal is 6 1/4" x 8 1/4" and comes with 80 pages of double sided lined paper. WOW!

So, I finally sat down and designed one today!
I can't WAIT to get it! Perfect for back to school.
I used the upcoming Spice Cake Designer Series Paper (it's coming in the Holiday Mini Sept. 1st).
Oh, it's soooo pretty! Love, Love, LOVE that paper!

So here is what my journal looks like:

Isn't it pretty? I love that you can actually SPONGE the edges in MDS...or at least give the illusion of sponging! I kept the cover plain because I used a lot of the patterned DSP and I didn't want it to be too busy.

So there you have it...
my one of a kind, custom, unique Journal.
And I put my name on the cover, so there is NO question of who it belongs to! LOL

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a great day! Please visit again soon!

More Button Buddies

Happy Saturday All!

It's a gorgeous day here in CT. Cooler temps and drier air...nice! I hope you have a great weekend!

Last week I promised a few more samples with Button Buddies. It is such a cute set, and awesome that it matches our buttons perfectly (in size and colors).

So here are a few other samples I made with this set:

Super Cute Piggy! Pool Party, Pretty in Pink, and some pearls!

And how about a CUTE baby card? Love that all these color buttons come in the same pack!

Thanks for stopping by today! Sorry for the quick post...but everything is all a buzz in the stamp room this weekend! I have lost of Christmas Club dates coming up in the next week and I am a cutting madwoman!

Yes, I know ....so early for Christmas Cards...but by starting NOW, you will be in great shape come December! :)

Enjoy your weekend and stop back soon!

My Digital Studio Blog Hop - Week 2!

Did you check out last weeks projects? Weren't they amazing? WOW! I loved all of the wonderful creations that my fellow blog-hopper's did. I am completely HONORED to have been asked to participate in this weekly challenge.

So welcome to week #2! You may have just come from Amber's blog. And if you are just starting the loop, just click the next name in the list at the bottom of this post.

This weeks theme is BIRTHDAY! How fun! Stampin' Up! comes out with new downloads every Tuesday...and this week there were lots of new birthday images. I have had such a blast playing with them this week!

The main one that I used on my pages this week is called Patterned Party. Here is a look at what comes in the digital kit:

Lots of fun stuff, right? Yep, I thought so too. :)

Here are the pages I created from my daughters 14th Birthday Party last summer...

I have to say that this is really different from what I normally do. My scrapbooking tends to focus on one or two pictures to isolate a single moment. This is a lot busier than I normally would do, both in number of pictures and color/pattern. But I have to say it was fun to play with the BRIGHT colors (I am addicted to Crumb Cake in case you haven't noticed...LOL).

The digital DSP is called Sun Garden...and it has wonderful summery colors in it like Pear Pizzazz, Peach Parfait and Poppy Parade (lot's of P's in all those names). I think it fit these pics well...because teenage girls are most certainly BRIGHT, and loud, and very silly. In fact, they loved that bounce house more than any 5 year old I've ever seen! LOL

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are enjoying all of the wonderful inspiration you are seeing on this blog hop! And if you are local, stay tuned as I will be offering MDS classes coming up in September.

Have a great weekend and enjoy the wonderful weather we are having.
Make sure to hop on over to Ally's blog next!

Christmas Card Club August Cards

I had my first Christmas Card Club get together this past Tuesday. It was great having lots of happy Stampers in the house. I wanted to share the cards they made. Everyone loved them!

Each month club members make 12 Christmas Cards (4 designs, 3 of each). So by December, they will have made 60 cards. All they have to do is address the envelopes (which are also included) and they are all set! How fun!

The club has been so popular! I have filled 2 clubs, and I am on my way to filling the 3rd. If you have thought about it, let me know. It's a lot of fun and you make beautiful cards! In addition, I offer specials and discounts each month for Club Members ONLY. And at the December Club Meeting you will make 16 Holiday Gift Tags at no additional cost! Woo Hoo! This month, my club members received a FREE package of Basic Pearls or Basic Jewels to add a little BLING to their projects! Sweet!

I only have 3 spaces remaining, so contact me if you are interested!

Be sure to stop by tomorrow as it is week # 2 of the MDS Blog Hop! These weeks theme is BIRTHDAY! We have some AWESOME digital images for this very subject! :)

Thanks for stopping by - hope to see you soon!

What a GREAT day!

Today we had our Annual New Catalog Stamp Camp. We hold one every year when the new catalog is released. It gives our customers a chance to see a lot of new product and make 4 projects with all new stuff. We held it at my Church's Fellowship Hall, so we have plenty of space for all of our happy stampers!

Everyone had a great time and really liked all the projects we made. Here are some FUN pics of some of my stampin' friends....

Look at this happy group! They had a fun day stamping together!

My sweet pal, Bonnie. I adore that she always reads my typed directions!
 Thanks Bonnie!

Rose is concentrating hard on her card.
I don't even think she knows I took her picture!

Ssshhhh.....Happy Demonstrators soaking up all the
YUMMY products in the upcoming Holiday  Mini Catalog.
You will FLIP when you see it! It's amazing!
It should be coming to your mailboxes soon!

Barb and Diane! Barb closed her eyes, but she is still smiling.
And how funny is this, Diane and I knew each other some 20 years ago.
Turns out it was from a bar she used to work at. Go figure.

Having a blast stamping away! Nothing makes us smile like new stamps!

So before I say good night (my dogs are barking tonight...it's been a fun, but long day)....I will leave you with some stamped inspiration.

This set is called Button Buddies. Our stampers used this set today for a different card. I loved this set so much I made a bunch of other cards with it too. This set has 8 adorable images in the set. Today they used the Piggy stamp...super cute!

The great thing about this set, is that it is designed for buttons. Our buttons come in 3 sizes, and there are stamps that fit each size of the buttons. In each container of buttons you get a beautiful assortment of colors in all 3 sizes! Perfect! What a clever idea! Just like they say...cute as a button! :)

I used the largest buttons on this cherry card. Isn't is so summery and cute? Such a fun easy card to make. The colors are Real Red, Wild Wasabi and Whisper White.

Thanks for dropping today. I have some more fun cards to share this week with the button buddies set so be sure to stop by!

Today's the DAY!

Just a quick post this morning, as I am busy getting packed  up. Today is our New Catalog Stamp Camp...and I am so excited to share all these new ideas, stamps, accessories and so much more with all my stamping friends! It's going to be a great day!

Our friends are making 4 projects today...so I think I will share a sneak peak at one of them with you this morning...LOL. The rest will follow this week....

This is one of my favorite new sets, Field Flowers. I just love it! It makes a gorgeous card no matter what colors you use. I hope our guests today will enjoy making this too!

The colors are Concord Crush, Very Vanilla, Lucky Limeaid and Wisteria Wonder.
We stamped the images and then ran it through the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder...it makes it look almost like fabric. So pretty!

Thanks for stopping by...I have lots to share this week...

Welcome to the first week of our MDS Blog Hop! I am so excited to be apart of this super talented group of ladies! Every Friday we will be designing a project in My Digital Studio to share with you.

Each week will be a specific theme. This weeks theme is BACK TO SCHOOL (insert groan here). I am just not ready for summer to be over yet!

Stampin' Up! has some great images available digitally for Back To School! I had a great time creating this page. Even though my sweet Emily is now a sophomore in High School, I never scrapped these pages. So, this weekly blog hop is going to be great on more than one level! I am finally going to get some of my older pics onto pages!

This pages features the Alphabet Letterpress Stamp...you can see it in the background on the Cherry Cobbler Layer. I also used some fun elements like Bakers Twine and the new Paper Buttons.

Here is the supply list:

Cardstock: Pear Pizzazz, Cherry Cobbler, So Saffron
Stamps: School Days Digital Brush Kit
Punches: Top Note Die, Photo Corners Punch, Square Punch
Embellishments: Bakers Twine, Paper Buttons, Alphabet Letterpress Digital Kit

SNOW MUCH FUN!

Hello Friends -

I know it's only the first week of August, but I am starting my Christmas Clubs and Classes this month. I am so excited about it! We have LOADS of amazing, awesome, incredible stamps and accessories for the Holidays!

Be on the look out for your Holiday Mini Catalog. It should be coming later this month...and there are just NO WORDS to describe it....I love absolutely everything in it!

Those that know me, know that I love snowmen! I have a gazillion of them (drives my husband up the wall ). He swears they breed during the summer months, and we have more each Christmas. LOL.

So, it should come as no surprise that one of the sets I fell in LOVE WITH instantly was SNOW MUCH FUN in the New Catalog.  Here are the images in this ADORABLE stamp set:
Today I spent some time in my stamp room playing around with this new set...and I just had the best time! I am working on designing a class around this set for next month. (Never too early to get those cards made!).

Here is the first card I made ...

Isn't he cute?

The cardstock is Baja Breeze, with a layer of Whisper White that has been embossed using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.

I stamped my snowman in Stazon Jet Black ink (the best choice when watercoloring) and colored him in using Blender Pens and Baja Breeze, Basic Grey, Riding Hood Red and Pumpkin Pie inks. A bow with the Baja Breeze Seem Binding Ribbon gives it the finishing touch.

I am excited to stamp with him some more....he's got a taller snowman friend in the set too, and he in next in line. :)

If you are interested in making your Holiday Cards this year, now is the time to start...a little at a time. There is much less stress NOW than there will be in December. If you make 12 a month, you will have 60 cards ready to go in December!

I still have a few openings, but space is filling quickly! Contact me to join my Christmas Club!

Have a great day, thank you so much for stopping by!
