Christmas Card Classes start in August!

I know, I know...it's still SUMMER...and it's 94 degrees in the shade, and you haven't even taken your family vacation yet....and you REFUSE to think about back to school, let alone Christmas! You must think I am CRAZY!

Yes, I am.

But, here's the thing....every year we WAIT until the last minute and then TRY to crank out some cards, only to find we don't ENJOY the process...it only makes us MORE stressed because we have a million other things we need to get done. It adds to the craziness of the "most wonderful time of the year".

For the past 2 years, I have started my Christmas classes in July or August. Each month my stampers make a selection of cards. They are relaxed, they enjoy the stamping time...it's all good. And then what do ya know, by the time December gets here, they have all of the cards done and all they have to do it mail them out. Viola!

Classes are already filling up, so don't delay. Space is limited at each class.

(this adorable card was cased from Michelle Surette! Thanks Michelle!)

You will make 8 cards (4 designs, 2 of each) every month. Each class includes envelopes, so all you have to do is sign the card, and address the envelope! Done!

No need to commit to a monthly class! Come to the ones you want to, or that fit your schedule.

Material fee is $20. If you place an order of $40 or more, your material fee is just $8.00! That's only $1 per card! Awesome!

MDS BLOG HOP FRIDAY

Hello Friends,

And another Friday is upon us. This weeks challenge was to GET PUNCHY and to use a lot of punches on our page! This is a great challenge, and one that was easy to comply with! I LOVE adding punches to my page because you can fill them with color, or Designer Series Paper. I find it the easiest way to add layers to my page.

We took my daughter to a Performing Arts Camp in VA. last weekend. On the way back, we took Jacob to Hershey Park. Now, he had a great time, but I was not able to do much. I still have the walking boot in my foot, so I pretty much sat in the wheelchair and watched them have fun. Boo!
But, it wasn't about me. I wanted my son to have some fun, and did he ever.

Here is my page of that day.

Pretty much everything on this page is a punch! All of the layers of designer paper were added by resizing the square punch to the size I needed and filling it with designer series papepr. The pennant banner at the top is also a punch, as is the label with the journaling, the HERSHEY flag at the top, the flowers and the star.

Using punches is so easy and fun. Truly it is the best way to add layers to your page. One of the other benefits to filling your punches with designer series paper is that you can change the pattern size. Just double click on your punch, and you can make the pattens bigger or smaller. Just another reason to LOVE MDS. With traditional paper crafting, you might love a patterned paper, but if it's the wrong size you don't have any options. With MDS, you can make it bigger or smaller to suit your needs. Very cool!

Don't forget that just a few more days until MDS2 comes out! Over 75 new features! Yahoo! I can't wait!

Be sure to hop on over to see what the other gals have for your viewing pleasure this week!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

MDS BLOG HOP FRIDAY

Hello Friends,

Welcome back to another Friday Blog Hop! This week was my turn to pick! I chose a fun sketch.
You can see the sketch by clicking HERE.

Long ago I had downloaded the Tickets and Tags digital kit. And honestly, I don't know WHY but I never used it! I love it! The colors are great and it has a lot of fun elements for travel scrapbook pages.
Here is a look at the kit:
And here is my page! Last summer we went on a really terrific dolphin enounter. It was one of the BEST summer adventures we had last summer!

Please visit my other friends on the blog hop to check out their creations!
Have a great weekend!

A Reason to Smile

During July, when you place a $50 order, you can get this new exclusive stamp set, Reason to Smile, for only $5.00! Wow! That IS a reason to smile!

Here are the images in this set:

I just got this set this past week, and I have been making some super cute cards with it.

Here is the one I made this morning:

The colors on this card are Concord Crush (sadly no longer available_) and Wisteria Wonder. Love the combo! I stamped the outline stamp in Jet Black Stazon, and colored the flower in Wisteria Wonder, and Lucky Limeaid using a blender pen. Super fast and super easy!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you are having a great weekend!

Flowering Flourishes...a new fave!

Now that I am getting around a bit more, I am FINALLY able to stamp with all my new goodies! :)
I made a few cards with the new Flowering Flourishes set. I love this set!
Here is a look at the images in this set:

It's a great layer stamp! Once you stamp the stems, you can add punches with smaller flowers and add some great texture. Or you can use markers to color it, make the stem one color and the flowers another.

I needed an Anniversary Card for my parents. After playing around for awhile, here is what I came up with.

The card base is Pink Pirouette, the layer is a piece of the new Designer Series Paper called Fan Fair.
I love it!

I used the Hearts Collection Framelit Dies to cut out the heart. I love that you get so many different size hearts in the collection. Perfect for layering if you wish!

I cut out the heart first, then stamped the image in Lucky Limeaid Ink. I then punched out some flowers using the Boho Blossoms Punch in Pink Pirouette and the new color, Primrose Petals.
I layered them together and added a pearl to the center.

For the greeting, I used the set Loving Thoughts. I stamped in on Primrose Petal using Basic Grey Ink, then used the square punch to make the flag banner.

It was a fun card to make and took only about 10 minutes! Those are the best kind! Simple and pretty!

Thanks for stopping by today! If you'd like to purchase any of these items, please visit my online store.

Have a great weekend!

MDS Blog Hop Friday

I can hardly stand myself. It's only Tuesday, and I am scheduling my post for Friday. That is4 whole days early! Woo Hoo! That truly NEVER happens!

This weeks challenge was a fun one...a color challenge! We were challenged to use Wild Wasabi, Pool Party, Primrose Petal, Summer Starfruit, and Basic Grey. We could use all of the colors, or just some of them. I laid the colors out, and discovered that I was really drawn to the combo of Pool Party, Wild Wasabi and Primrose Petal. And surprise, surprise...I added a touch of Summer Startfruit...and I loved it! :)

Here is my page. I used the pictures from Emily's 16th birthday a few weeks ago.

This pages uses a lot of punches. Square Punch, Banner Punch, Pennant Punch, Number Punch...you get the idea. I love that you have the choice of filling your punches with solid color (like the Pool Party large square) or Designer Series Paper (like the Pennant Banner at the top).

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you have a great weekend.

Be sure to visit the other gals on the hop.

Raspberry Ripple...LOVE

Now that I am on the mend, I have spent some time in my stamp room playing with all my  new stamping goodies. I haven't really gotten to use the new In Colors yet! A disgrace, I tell you!

I am finishing up my stamp club this month (the gals were so kind to let me take June off to recuperate), and they requested Sympathy cards.

I used Raspberry Ripple with the Just Believe Stamp Set. I hope they like it!

The main image is stamped in Early Espresso. I punched out flowers using the Boho Blossom Punch, and added a pearl to the center. Some Crumb Cake Seem Binding Ribbon finishes it off.

Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are having a great week!

MDS Blog Hop Friday

Hello Friends,

As you may have noticed, during the summer it may happen that some of us are going to be out of the loop for the Blog Hop. I am sorry that this week, it is me. :(
I really tried, but I just couldn't get it together this week.

Please continue on the hop, and I will be back next week with a great project for you!

Thanks!
